We are a family-run business based in Frodsham, Cheshire and came up with the idea of purchasing a new-build horsebox when I purchased my new horse in March 2006, and was unable to get him delivered from South Wales. I tried to hire a horsebox from all of the self-drive horsebox companies that I could find on the Internet, but nothing was available for four to six weeks. I then decided to purchase my own horsebox and hire it out.

Setting up the business did not run smoothly. Finding the appropriate insurance was a complete nightmare, but eventually, after 65 calls to insurance companies, I found a lovely company who helped me immensely. They are Millins Insurance of Parbold, Lancashire, and were superb, helpful, knowledgeable, and extremely friendly over the telephone. They kept me up to date at every stage.

Registering with Equestrian Support Services was easy, and gives peace of mind to anyone wishing to hire the horsebox - and to me!

After a first year in business, which seems more like six months, we have built up a client base, met some lovely people and made some wonderful friends on the way. People have even hired the truck from as far away as Scotland.

We pride ourselves on being able to offer a truly flexible service and are always willing to help in what ever way we can.

We are open seven days a week from 8.00 am to 8.00 p.m. including bank holidays but excluding Christmas Day and New Year Day.
